Length: 20.49 km
Contractors Astaldi and Max Boegl selected in September 2011. Section cost was 618.4 Million RON. The section was opened with two lanes in July 2012 and four lanes in November 2012.

III.Section Medgidia - Constanta
Status: Open
Length: 30.82 km
The contractors for this section are Astaldi and Max Boegl, while the cost is 739 Million RON.
The stretch between Murfatlar and Valu lui Traian (14.5 km) was opened with two lanes in July 2011, and with four lanes at the end of September 2011. The entire Medgidia - Constanta section was opened in July 2012.
