The contractor was selected in September 2020 and is the consortium SA & PE Construct SRL - Spedition UMB - Tenostrade SRL, price: 371,416,131.09 RON excluding VAT, execution duration: 10 months for design, 24 months for execution, opening date: 2024. Contract signing took place in April 2021.
The route of the expressway is continued with a bridge over the Danube between Braila and Smardan in Tulcea county, which was opened in July 2023. This bridge is not part of the Braila - Galati expressway. The contract was signed in January 2018 with the consortium Astaldi - IHI Infrastructure Systems, price: 1,995,932,260.25 RON excluding VAT, execution duration: 12 months for design, 36 months for execution, opening date: July 2023.
